T.A.S.T.E. is located in the Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding communities of North Carolina.

We are dedicated to teaching students how to master the Violin, Viola, and/or Cello. Suzuki music lessons are taught internationally following the philosophy of Shinichi Suzuki (1898-1998).  Begun in post-war Japan, this is the “mother tongue” method of teaching. Basics for studying require:  1) daily listening to the Suzuki repertoire, 2) weekly individual lessons and 3) bi-weekly attendance of group lessons.  Our T.A.S.T.E. program offers monthly solo recitals, spring solo recitals to show yearly progress and polished performances, a fall group play-in, holiday group concerts, a graduation concert and numerous community outreach performances. Although we have produced many top-notch professional musicians, our goal is to produce successful students who love and enjoy sharing their music — making our world a brighter, happier place.

On our website you will be able to discover who we are, meet our faculty, keep up with our regularly scheduled events and contact us with any questions.

Common Questions

How do I rent/purchase a violin?

Please do not rent or purchase an instrument until you have begun lessons with a teacher. He/she will direct you about proper size and instrument source.

I know nothing about music. How can I be an integral part of the Suzuki Triangle?

Most Suzuki parents are not musicians. In the beginning, you will learn right along with your child.

How much do lessons cost?

Each teacher sets his/her hourly rate. Group lessons are $220/yr. We have a minimum of 5 group lessons each semester and the group lesson fee pays for the monthly recitals, also.
